I'm sorry it's been a while, I'd really like to post at least once a week... We moved this last week, our house is a mess (filled with still-packed boxes), Justin got a job that keeps him working til 9:30 every night, and we're trying to get Carrie into a better napping schedule... I'll write more and post pictures when my life is a little more sane. I promise. :)

Just some experience--take it or leave it.
Copeland REFUSED to be on a good napping schedule until he was 6 months old. The main thing I tried to do was keep him from sleeping more than 2 hours at a time in the day, and make sure his day was busy and he had some background noise going on--music, a movie, or going somewhere public. He adjusted into his own schedule on his own time. And maybe he was just different--who knows?
All I know is that I was happier and a lot less stressed when I let him take the wheel for naps and feedings.
Being a new mom is hard and there are a million different ways of doing it! It takes some time to find out what works best for you!
Ugh, the whole napping thing sucks sometimes. Have you read the most amazing book ever though? Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems by Dr. Richard Ferber.
So sorry we couldn't be there to help you guys move and get unpacked. I know how much it helps, having help especially with a little baby. Give Carrie lots of kisses for us. Hope we can get together soon. Love you all.
