It's the moment you've all been waiting for... the gender reveal for our newest little baby-in-the-making!
We decided to try something a little more fun this time around than just a boring phone call to our families. So I came up with this idea....
After the ultrasound we went to Walmart to buy "baby's first outfit" in a very obvious pink or blue, wrapped it up like a present and had Carrie open the "present" (my idea) while our families watched on Skype (Justin's idea).

.................................drumroll................................

IT'S A GIRL!!!!
Her name is Brigette Joely and she's beautifully healthy! Everything is in the right place, and we saw a picture pointing out the heart, diaphragm, and stomach in their appropriate places to prove it!
She was a little camera shy with her face, but we got this semi-decent profile picture. With her hand on her face of course (She must get it from her sister! Do you remember an almost identical ultrasound picture of Carrie?) A teeny background on her name, Brigette: "ette" means "the feminine version of" and "Brig" comes from Brigham, of course. So she's named after her older brother! Her middle name, Joely, we just happened to like the sound of and it works out that I have a grandpa named Joel, so it can kind of be after him. We're so thrilled to be having another girl!! And I already have BIG plans on how to redecorate her room! ;)

Congrats I am so excited for you guys! And yay I guessed right. Love the name you guys have picked out.
Love the name! Congrats!
I am so happy for you. Congratulations!!! So this might be a silly question, but I thought i'd just be sure. Are you pronouncing it like Bridge-et or Brig-et? I'm assuming the first, but didn't want to make any assumptions, since she's named after her brother. That is such a neat meaning behind her name. Love it!!!
She is beautiful! My guess on facebook was late, but I guessed a girl! LOVE her name! I'm sure Carrie is the happiest big sister ever!
Brittney, it's pronounced "Bridge-et", like the regular girls name. Only the spelling is what makes it after Brigham :)
Congratulations! So exciting!
Yea!!! Congrats! We are so excited for you! Isac and I both guessed it was a girl :)
