What's more American than Baseball?.... For our 4th of July, we chose to celebrate by going to a Diamondbacks' game! Actually, it was Carrie's idea. Last week, she randomly said to me, "Mommy, I want to go see the D-backs again"... So we did! Great idea sweetie!
The first 20,000 fans got a free Dbacks 4th of July t-shirt! Carrie's is a "child's size", but it's still humongous! Looks like she has a new nightgown!
I'm so proud of us for actually getting a good family self-portrait!
As the night went on and Carrie started to get a little bored, she got a little silly....
But she was more than willing to keep posing for pictures! One with mom...
And one with dad.... She had been making a grumpy face right before I snapped this, so Justin matched it. I love how I caught her at JUST the right moment though, when she looked up at Justin's face and was probably thinking, "What's wrong with you?".... :)
After posing for so many pictures, she wanted to man the camera. Even though this picture is blurry and really close up, I actually like it a lot!
During the 7th inning stretch, it was frozen yogurt time! Yum! Gotta make sure you get every last drop!
After the game, which sadly, the Dbacks lost, there was a fireworks show!
It was actually a very impressive show! The best part though, was that it had been raining all day so it was only 80 degrees outside by gametime! Woohoo for nice weather!
So Happy Birthday America! Here's hoping you get better with age! ;)
