Still Waiting...

I had my appointment with the specialist on Thursday, and there's some good news and some bad news.... The good news is that Brigette decided to have a growth spurt the last couple weeks. She now weighs 5lbs, 11oz! In these past two weeks, she has grown at a "normal rate"....

The bad news is.... that means they won't induce me early! :( Not that I'm not excited that Brigette is growing so well and seemingly in perfect health, I've just been getting the impression these last couple months that they were going to induce me early because of her size. Now at the last minute she decided to be sneaky and grow like a weed!

Based on her weight Thursday, by the time they induce me at 39 weeks (not set in stone yet, but we're pretty sure), she'll be basically the exact same weight as our other two kids!!

If the doctors try to tell me my next baby is measuring small and we need to see the specialist/have tons of extra appointments etc... I'm just going to tell them, "That's just the way our kids are!" :)

At my appointment on Monday I'm supposed to be discussing my induction date, which will hopefully/likely be for sometime next weekend. Yesterday when they checked me, they said I was a 3 again... I don't know if I really believe it though. My last 4 appointments have been with 4 different providers. I have yet to have the same doctor/nurse practitioner check me. We'll see what they say on Monday. I'm hoping I can talk them into stripping my membranes too. It's never actually put me into labor before, but I think it's helped in me being ready for my inductions.

For now, I'm doing things like making eggplant parmesan for dinner, massaging my feet, running up and down the stairs, and eating Tums like they're candy. Okay, that last one has nothing to do with trying to put myself into labor, but seriously.... if the old wives tale of heartburn=hair for the baby, then Brigette is going to be able to have her hair in french braids from day one! It's crazy!!

One more week! I can do it! And then we'll get to meet our little girl!!! I'm so excited! I'm going to have to find a lot of projects to do, or have a lot of play dates to keep my sanity this week! :)
