Extra Ultrasound!

Well, we had an extra ultrasound and got another peek at our beautiful little girl (and she is a girl, we double checked). We also had the tech check to see if Carrie had any hair and she does :) Not a ton, but it's there. Anyways, the reason for the extra ultrasound was not so fun. At my doctor's appointment on Thursday morning when the doctor measured my belly, I measured 3 weeks behind. He was "concerned" about her growth, especially since I had been measuring about a week ahead my last 2 appointments, so we set up an ultrasound for a couple hours later to double check. No worries though, all is well. She ended up measuring 3 or 4 days behind my dates, but that is much better than the 3 weeks we were afraid of. She weighs 3 pounds 12 ounces now, which is right on target. Her expected weight at birth is the 39th percentile which is about 6 pounds 12 ounces. (Sounds perfect to me, just a tiny bit small, but still healthy) :)

This week I've been lucky and picked up two night shifts. In my last post I wrote about how it took me two days to scrub the bathroom floor. On Wednesday night when I was working, Justin was so bored he scrubbed the kitchen floor and the entryway. It only took him about an hour to do both! It was a great little present, especially because I had been stressing that time really snuck up on us and we're moving in a week! I didn't know when I was going to get it done since I am substitute teaching Jr. High 2 days next week. What a wonderful husband!!

Since we're moving before Christmas, we obviously didn't put up our tree this year. It made me a little sad, so last Sunday while we were sitting bored being ward librarians, I "decorated" the tree, and when we got home, Justin "put it up" ... with scotch tape. We thought it was funny.

P.S. I thought I'd add another picture of our "packing room". As you can see, the window is completely blocked off now. Anything left still unpacked is because we're using it right now, like clothes, some food and the computer. That's about it. I'm excited to get it all packed next week and live out of a suitcase for a couple days before we move. :)
