Say "Hello" to Baby Greer!

Well, our first doctor's appointment has come and gone and everything looks good! I'm 8 weeks along and the baby (just one) looks great. (Justin thinks it looks like a frog.) My official due date is January 29th, so we get to spend another winter in freezing Rexburg. I guess somehow we'll survive the snow. At least I won't have to be huge and pregnant during the summer heat : )

As expected, I jinxed myself in my last post by saying I hadn't thrown up yet. Last week was not fun at all. I threw up quite a lot, but luckily, my mom reminded me about Unisom. I made Justin go buy some this past Sunday night and it's been my best friend the last few days! I'm feeling much better as far as nausea and throwing up go, but I'm still really really tired... Justin is a great help to me with everything and is taking his job as "Dad" very seriously making sure I'm eating healthy food and have snacks handy etc. It's adorable.

Baby update

I know I said I'd write more to update today so here goes. I don't actually have a doctor's appointment until the 19th, so really after that I'll have more to say about the baby (who we are lovingly calling "Peanut" for now). For example, the due date... We think it's sometime at the beginning of February but we're not really sure.

I've had a few people ask how I'm feeling and until yesterday I was feeling fabulous! I haven't thrown up yet but yesterday at work I had to keep crackers in my pocket all day to avoid it. Nausea is no fun. It's not as bad today so that's nice. Anyways, we're really excited and will keep everyone up to date on things!

--Just a random side note, I'm so excited to see Justin be a dad : ) After he kissed me goodbye this morning, he kissed Peanut goodbye too. I loved it!

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd write really quick and let it be known to the world that we're going to have a baby! I know I'm going to disappoint some of you for writing such a short little note, but I've got to run right now. I'm planning on going to the doctor on Tuesday the 3rd. I'll write more after that to update everyone : )

2 Years of Marriage and Counting!

Well this last weekend on May 2nd, we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary. We took a road trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and stayed at a bed and breakfast. We were the only people there all weekend and it was great. We got breakfast brought to our room both days and homemade cookies, tarts and sparkling cider. We did some shopping, sight-seeing (buffalo and elk-seeing actually) and a LOT of walking.

We got an old west picture taken! Yeehaw!

Another exciting random tidbit, I'm back to working days, so Justin and I might actually see each other now. Justin's still working hard and doing great at school!

NIght Shifts and Umping

Well we made it through my first week of night shifts and Justin's first couple weeks of umping baseball and softball. We're both really really tired. What do you expect? It's been fun watching Justin practice in front of the mirror. I get a little worried sometimes that he'll scare the neighbors shouting "STRRIIKE THRREEE!!" or "OOOUUT!!", (except you really can't understand the words, it's all just big, loud, scary mumbles... I guess it's supposed to be that way). It's much better to see a game in action, which I've already had the chance to do on my day off.

Anyways, summer semester starts for Justin on Monday where he'll be working hard on his marketing emphasis. Cross your fingers for him in his International Economics class! : s

Our first post

OK, everyone who's been bugging us about starting our blog, here it is. The snow up here is finally starting to melt (now I just jinxed it) and it's getting into the high 40's pretty much everyday. It's still too cold for me though. I'm excited to be moving (hopefully somewhere warm) in December.

That's right, I said December! Justin is going to school year round to finish classes in just 8 more months. After that, all that's left is his internship which, as perviously mentioned, is hopefully somewhere warm. We are really hoping for Albuquerque, so cross your fingers for us.

I'm still the "sugar mama" of the family, working hard at the hospital in the NICU. I start orienting night shifts next week and I'm not terribly excited about it. Oh well, I'll get used to the nocturnal life.

Another exciting thing that's new for us... Justin will start officiating high school softball and baseball this week! He's done basketball for years and now he's jumping into the world of Umping. His first game is Varsity Softball in Idaho Falls.

Wow, when I started typing, I thought I would have nothing to say. Guess I proved myself wrong!
