Bring On the Playtime!

What a fun day we've had! Last night and this morning, Justin reffed some summer league high school basketball games. He's wishing he hadn't spent so much time on the treadmill at the gym at work on Friday because his knee is bothering him now, but that's the price of "old age". (I'm just kidding honey, you're not old by any means!! Well, except maybe the fact that you go to bed at 8:30, but that doesn't count)

This morning we got to go to a birthday party for Carrie's friend Shea. It was at the Gilbert Splash pad and the kids had a blast! Everyone got a plastic cup to play in the water with. Carrie liked to put it on top of the sprayers when no water was coming up, turn and run like she'd just dropped a grenade and turn back around just in time to see the water squirt up and pick her cup off the ground!
There were plenty of kids there, I just happened to catch this picture when all the other kids were out of view. I thought it was a little bit artistic. Maybe I'm just silly...
We ate popsicles, juice boxes and rice crispies as part of the celebration. We were definitely sun-tired by the time we got home.

So after a little afternoon nap (which was VERY forced by mommy and daddy), we all went out to OrganStop Pizza! As we discussed as a family, we figured out it's been 10 years since we've been here. TEN YEARS! How? I don't know, but I passed it on the way home from the birthday party and thought, "Oooo, Carrie would LOVE that place!" So Grandma and Grandpa treated us to yummy pizza and awesome entertainment.
Carrie's favorite was the employee dressed as a storm trooper. It was incredibly random, and as I'm thinking about it now, I wonder if it was really an employee or just a very bored person trying to make a Saturday night more interesting. But anyways, it stood on the staircase all night dancing along with the organ songs; Which were INCREDIBLE, by the way!
Grandpa took Carrie for a "walk" around the place after we ate. She was so excited to wave to us from the balcony!
